A warm and friendly welcome awaits at Wood Cottage.  Originally built in 1807 and only half a mile from the Offa’s Dyke National Trail, the cottage was, in its early years, used as a pig/cattle barn up until the 1970’s.  

This history now no longer evident, the building has had a number of uses in its lifetime since then.  Having been recently, lovingly restored by the current owners to a very tasteful and high standard of comfortable accommodation for two, offering beautiful exposed oak beams in the main living space and connecting to a log cabin double bedroom.  All finished to an extremely high quality in every area of the property. 

Standing proud in its own secluded grounds, adjacent to the owners main house, Wood Cottage offers a private lawned area, decking with optional luxury hot tub experience and private use of car port.  

Outdoors, you will have unbroken views of fields, woodland and the Breidden Hills with Rodney’s Pillar in the near distance.   In the garden area, vines and honeysuckle grow readily up the walls, with hanging baskets and potted plants all around.  Here, you may spot an abundance of wildlife including blue tits, woodpeckers, finches and nut hatches, pheasants, buzzards, rabbits and the occasional cry of a fox or badger with the hoot of an owl at dusk.   Which all in all make for a relaxing, get away from it all, break.
